  • Is There A Hair & Makeup Station Included?
    YES! Both studios include both a Hair & Makeup station AND a changeroom free of charge. You get access to the station for the duration of your studio session.
  • Can I Add More Time to the Studio Packages?
    Absolutely! When you are checking out, each package offers additional hours, so you can fully customize your session. Easily turn a 2 hour session into a 3 or 4 hour, or turn your half day into a 6 or 7 hour with the touch of a button.
  • Is There Free Parking? What About Easy Access?
    There is TONS of free parking at the studio, and even better yet, we are on the ground floor. No more lugging your equipment or luggage up any stairs, and the studio entrance is less then a minute walk from the parking lot - so no lugging everything down long hallways and around street corners!
  • What if I Need More Time the Day of?
    While we cannot guarantee that there will be more time available, if there is, we are happy to extend your booking the day of. Our overtime policy is $25 for every 15 minutes that your team needs. Please note that your cleanup time (packing equipment, putting clothes away and tidying up the space) still counts as overtime if you go over your end of session. If overtime is not available, you are required to be fully finished, all belongings packed up and the team all in the lobby by the end of your session.
  • Is There Someone Onsite? What if I Need Assistance?
    YES! We have someone on site to help check you in, ask questions and to be there if you need us to help move furniture. All of our staff is knowledgeable in photography and can assist you with technical questions if needed as well.

Terms & Conditions

Cancellation policy: We do not offer refunds. Cancellations more than 48 hours from the start time of your booking will have the option to re-book the session one time at no extra charge. Cancellations on re-bookings are final. If we receive under 48 hours' notice of a cancellation no refunds or re-booking option will be issued.


A damage deposit of $300 will be required upon arrival to the studio. After final inspection with one of our staff members and should there be no damage, we will refund the full deposit prior to your departure. Your team will not be granted access to the studio until the deposit has been left with staff.


Please ensure the person who is responsible for the booking arrives at the start time, or please have a designated person arrive at the start time to leave the deposit in order to gain entry.


Your package includes set up and tear down. Staff will arrive 5 minutes prior to your end of your session to do the inspection of the studio and to refund your deposit. All members of your team and all of their belongings must be out of the studio in order to complete the inspection and refund.


Should you not be ready when staff arrives and if overtime is available, you will be charged every 15 minutes at a rate of $25 the minute your rental time ends. If overtime is not available and you impede on another rentals session, a $100 charge will be applied to your deposit and you will not be allocated additional time.


Renter is required to put away anything moved, wipe down surfaces and clean the floor prior to departure to avoid additional fees. Permanent marks left on the furniture, walls or floors, will be subject to professional cleaning fees/services.

 

No smoke bombs, cigarette or pot smoke, water, or paint. No alcohol permitted on the premises. No exceptions. If you use body paint or body oils, please do not use the furniture or lean against any walls. NO GLITTER. NO FIRE/OPEN FLAME CANDLES. CLEANING FEES START AT $100.00+HST/HOUR AND NO DEPOSIT WILL BE RETURNED UNTIL CLEANING HAS BEEN COMPLETED BY STAFF.

 

In the event of damages in the studio, the damage deposit will be applied to the total of the repairs. Should the total for repairs exceed your deposit, an invoice will be supplied to the renter and it will be due upon delivery.

 

During inclimate weather, no outdoor shoes are permitted. Please bring a pair of indoor shoes for your own comfort. There will be a shoe and coat rack to place your belongings.

 

Animals of any kind are not permitted.


No pornography to be filmed at our location We limit capacity to 10 people in the Studio. We will turn people away should you reach your limit.

 

We are strictly a photography and video studio. We do not host events, parties, family reunions, etc.


In-studio backdrops may only be mounted by studio staff. $8/foot for the portion that is stepped on.

 

No outside speakers allowed in the studio. We offer an in studio speaker with Spotify Premium for you to enjoy.

 

Studio by House is not responsible for any accidents or injuries at the studio.

 

Your rental gives you access to our studios but not to the rest of the building. Please keep your group contained to the studio space and don't bring our equipment outside.

 

If you do not know how to use a piece of equipment – just ASK! We don’t judge, and we’d rather help you, then have you incur a damage fee.

 

Studio by House is monitored by security cameras. These are set up and operated to collect the minimum amount of information to be effective. This helps reduce the intrusion on individuals’ privacy. Specifically: Cameras are not aimed at areas where people have a heightened expectation of privacy, (changing areas & washrooms). We’ve ensured steps were taken so that cameras cannot be adjusted or manipulated by the operator or renter to capture images in such areas.
